Build language acquisition studies with a platform designed for research validity
Inqui is being developed alongside ongoing doctoral research in L2 acquisition. Every feature produces structured, exportable data so your study moves from hypothesis to results without wrestling with custom tooling.
Everything you need to run a rigorous study
Research Studies Module
Create named study cohorts, assign participants to Coach or Partner mode, and track the full study lifecycle from enrollment to completion.
5 Questionnaire types
Likert scales, single/multiple choice, open text, and numeric inputs — all with reverse scoring, subscale analysis, and automatic 0–100 normalization.
Behavioural analytics
DAU/WAU/MAU per cohort, session completion rates, goal achievement funnels, and proficiency score trends — all exportable.
CEFR proficiency tracking
Each session generates automated, CEFR-aligned proficiency estimates (A1–C2). Track longitudinal proficiency trends with per-session and per-goal granularity. (Model-based scoring; not a substitute for human assessment.)
Structured data exports
Export session profiles, questionnaire responses, and proficiency logs as CSV or JSON. Anonymization and pseudonymization toggles included to support ethics review submissions.
Participant blinding & cohort isolation
Assign participants to conditions without revealing group membership. Each cohort sees only their configured activities and scenarios.
5 instrument types — no coding required
Design your pre/post assessments, exit surveys, and attitude scales directly in the admin console. Participants complete them on mobile before or after each session.

Common research questions
Does this support ethics review / IRB submissions?
Inqui produces structured, timestamped records of all participant activity and supports pseudonymization and anonymization. You control what data is collected and can configure consent flows in your onboarding. Research studies require informed consent and appropriate ethics approval; Inqui provides anonymization tools and exportable logs to support that process. We can provide data processing documentation for your ethics review submission.
Can I blind participants to their condition?
Yes. Participants are enrolled to a named cohort and only see the activities configured for that cohort. Group assignment is not surfaced in the UI.
What data is exportable?
Session metadata (start/end time, duration, turns, goals achieved), per-turn CEFR scores, questionnaire responses with per-item values, XP and streak logs, and cohort enrollment history. All available as CSV or JSON.
Can I set up pre/post assessments?
Yes. You can attach questionnaires to study sessions as pre-session or post-session instruments. Each questionnaire records submission timestamps so you can reconstruct the pre/post timeline in your analysis.
How are CEFR scores calculated?
The AI tutor evaluates each conversation turn against CEFR descriptors for the target language and level. Scores are stored per-session and aggregated into a proficiency trend you can track longitudinally.
